01 / BUILD SMALL. LEARN IN PUBLIC.

Start with a light.
Then move some air.

Buoy Light and Dock Fan are the first proposed pilots. Sunboard mechanics can develop alongside them. Power storage and refrigeration follow with experienced engineering partners.

The goal is local fabrication, assembly, testing and repair around the South Bay. Batteries, motors, electronics and solar cells may come from specialist suppliers elsewhere. No supplier has been commissioned and no product is available to buy.

These are build briefs with open decisions. Dimensions and performance are proposed targets. Production CAD, electrical drawings, quotes and measured prototypes are still to come.

Work tray1Loads supported by frame only
Controller + harness1 setPV compatibility review
Feet + carry strap1 kitReplaceable

Proposed assembly sequence

Check modules → assemble frame with protected edges → route flexible harness clear of hinges → fit stand and tray → measure electrical output and inspect insulation.

Evidence needed before release

  • Output curves under recorded irradiance and temperature; verify controller compatibility and polarity.
  • Hinge/cable flex and connector retention; tray load path must bypass cells.

Protection + harness1 setEngineer-selected ratings
Display, feet, handle1 kitServiceable

Proposed assembly sequence

  • System hazard and protection review; verify supplier battery and transport documents against exact model.
  • Thermal/charge derating, peak current, overload and fault behavior assessed by qualified lab/engineer.
  • Handle/drop and enclosure review plus full-system certification scoping; component certification alone is insufficient.

03 / A SHARED WAY OF MAKING

The dial still works.
The screw comes out.

01 / PHYSICAL FIRST

Useful offline.

Local power, dimming and fan controls work without an app. Later Bluetooth or AI coordination proposes scenes; device protection and physical override remain in control.

02 / SERVICEABLE BY DESIGN

Keep the useful parts.

Captive screws, replaceable straps and feet, documented modules, serial traceability, accessible service panels and a spare-parts register.

03 / REVIEW THE INTERFACES

A clear place to connect.

Solar input, battery connections and appliance outputs stay distinct. Voltage, current, connector, protection and thermal limits need signed electrical review before wiring.

The passive wind scoop remains an experiment. Measure whether it helps airflow; publish the result either way. It is not a generator or an air conditioner.
